My Background

As a child, my beloved mother would read "The Little Fir Tree" by Hans Christian Anderson, and so, I fell in love with Pine trees.

My dad and I would crouch underneath the pine boughs, sharing imaginary tea in the under-clearing of these beautiful trees.

Botanical Gardens Practices

At Christmas, many botanical gardens wrap trees with lights. This is difficult to accept, as it is sometimes year-round, and can cause trauma to the trees. Please let your botanical gardens know that you would rather experience nature as it is without electric lights.
